Fees and Insurance

My standard fee is $125.00 per hour of service. This hourly rate applies to psychotherapy visits, consultation with other professionals (when requested), and extended telephone calls. Psychological testing is charged at $150.00 per hour of service for test administration, scoring, and report writing. A full psychological evaluation, including a written report, usually costs from $1,000.00 to $1500.00.

I am contracted with a number of insurance companies to provide services at their contracted rate. You will pay a co-payment for services rendered. I am contracted with the following insurance companies:
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (Blue Options, PPO plans, such as Blue Advantage, Blue Choice, Federal Employee, etc.)


  • Medcost


  • MH Net


  • NC Health Choice


  • PHCS (Private Healthcare Systems)


  • State Employees Health Plan


  • Tricare


  • Value Options

Check your insurance company’s website to see if I am listed as a provider. Also check the back of your insurance card. Many insurance companies have their mental health benefits managed by one of the above companies.

For insurance companies that I am not contracted with, I am considered an “out of network” provider. Check to see what your insurance company pays for “out of network” providers.
